About Us

The River Valley Technology Center is a public/private partnership dedicated to nurturing small technology
and precision manufacturing businesses during the start-up stage. The RVTC provides a variety of business
development assistance including low cost space, shared office services, onsite training and managerial and
technical assistance in an environment conducive to new small businesses. We offer entrepreneurs the ability
to concentrate on the development of a product/service without the typical problems that affect such start-up
ventures and often result in their premature demise.
The RVTC offers a variety of administrative support to tenant companies, including: lease of office and lab
space, conference rooms, video conferencing, and reception services.
The RVTC also provides tenants access to the University of Maine System, Central Maine Community College,
and Region 9's School of Applied Technology, which provide an array of technical resources. These resources
include access to sophisticated laboratories, highly advanced equipment and personnel who may provide professional
and technical assistance.
We have developed these extensive administrative, professional and technical support services with one goal in
mind: enhancing the success of their client companies.
How to get help: RVTC personnel will arrange for a tour of the facility and an initial consultation to discuss
the particular needs of your new business. We encourage potential tenants to develop an initial business and
financial plan and determine space requirements before leasing space.
